The Youth Ministry partners with parents to disciple their children from 6th-12th grade. By God’s grace, we are a youth group rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, reflecting his kingdom, and reaching our city. We strive to be a place where parents want to send their kids and a place their kids want to be.

Chet Bennett
Youth Ministry Team Co-Leader
Chet is the Facilities Manager at Redeemer and he and his wife Savannah live in Nicholson. He loves to be outside and play pickleball. Chet is very excited to be apart of the youth team and to see what God is going to do at Good Shepherd through it!

Lolo McCreary
Youth Ministry Team Co-Leader
Lolo is from Woodstock, GA and moved to Athens in 2021 to pursue a business degree from the University of Georgia. A few semesters in she decided that was completely not what she wanted to do and is now a religion major, and she plans on attending seminary and going into ministry after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys pretending she’s a comedian, thrifting, baking, music, reading, and spending time with her friends. She is so excited to be a part of the youth ministry at GSPC!

Kate Lattner
Youth Ministry Team Member
Kate is from Statesboro, Georgia and is a junior at UGA. She has worked as a summer intern for a youth ministry in Greenville the last two summers and plans on going into ministry after she graduates. She is so excited to be a part of the youth ministry here and see how the Lord is at work in the hearts of the youth!

Rosalyn Curtis
Youth Ministry Team Member
Rosalyn Curtis is from Kennesaw, Georgia, and is currently working in the preschool at Garden City Community School. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia with her bachelor degree in English Education. She decided to stay in Athens because of the food, the music, the people, and because of her church community. Rosalyn is so excited to get to work with the youth of Good Shepherd!

Joe Black
Youth Ministry Team Member
Joe grew up in Norcross, GA before attending UGA for undergrad. At UGA, he became involved with RUF and interned with our sister church, Redeemer, before attending seminary in Philadelphia. Joe currently serves on the diaconate at Good Shepherd and has volunteered with Redeemer’s youth ministry programs for 7 years. He’s looking forward to the opportunity to see the youth ministry program at work in the lives of families at Good Shepherd. Joe works in tech and enjoys traveling, time with friends, and attempting to keep his yard from turning into an overgrown jungle.

Evan Walker
Youth Ministry Team Member
Evan is a sophomore at UGA from Dacula, GA studying business management. He is involved with RUF at UGA and serves on the Freshmen Family team there. Evan loves all things sports, but specifically loves football and watching his Atlanta Falcons. His favorite hobbies include golf, pickleball, hanging out with friends, and taking naps. Evan is so excited to serve on the youth team!
